Chart of the Week: Monthly Lending Volumes RateSetter and MarketInvoice
In this week’s chart we look at monthly lending volumes of RateSetter and MarketInvoice. In June 2017, for the first time ever, MarketInvoice lending volumes were slightly higher than RateSetter’s.
Furthermore, RateSetter posted its first negative month of net lending (new loans net of repayment and defaults) in April. In May and June net lending remained negative at approxomately -£5Mn and -£15Mn respectively. MarketInvoice, on the other hand, enjoyed a record quarter in terms of lending volumes in Q2 2017, with June coming in as its biggest ever month at £64.2Mn in invoices funded.
